Kathmandu, October 4
Singer Shiva Pariyar and singer Samikshya Adhikari will perform in a dozen American cities for Dashain.
Under the “Dashain Tihar Dhamaka USA Tour”, they will take part in shows organised from the East Coast to the West.
The tour, organised by Three-E Entertainment of Virginia, will run for about a month and a half. The two are reported to have gone to the US on P-3 category visas.
The tour has been in the works for a year. After the Bhotekoshi flood in Rasuwa caused loss of life and property, it was decided to give the money raised from the tour to flood victims.
On the initiative of Suresh Sapkota, chairman of the organising company, up to $500 raised from the tour will be sent to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund.
Pariyar and Adhikari will perform in New York on Sunday. They have already performed in Akron on October 2 and in Columbus on October 3.
It is Adhikari’s first trip to the US.
