Chitwan, July 23
A female one-horned rhino has been found dead in Chitwan. It was found dead at Bharatpur Municipality Ward Number-26 at Bhagedi.
According to Chitwan National Park, a 20-year-old rhino died in a cornfield.
The reason for its death has not been determined and the investigation is in process.
In the previous fiscal year, 21 rhinos died in Chitwan. Eighteen died of natural causes, poachers killed two, and the cause of death for one rhino remained unknown.
