Country receives over Rs 477 billion in remittance in four months

During the first four months of the current fiscal year, the country received remittances totalling Rs 477.96 billion.

According to the four-month financial report released by Nepal Rastra Bank, remittances have shown a notable increase of 26.4 per cent compared to the same period last year, which saw a growth rate of 20.4 per cent.

In the specific period from October 18 to November 16, remittances amounting to Rs 112 billion were recorded.

The growth rate of remittances in US dollars for the four-month review period stands at 23.1 per cent.

Additionally, the report indicates that 137,475 Nepalis obtained new work permits for foreign employment during this period, while 68,841 renewed their work permits.
