Kathmandu, June 18

The Human Rights and Peace Society staged a protest in Kathmandu on Wednesday morning, calling for an immediate end to the ongoing war between Israel and Iran.

According to international media, Israel launched its military campaign titled “Operation Rising Lion” against Iran on Friday, June 13. Iran responded with counterattacks, and the conflict has continued for the past six days.

Reports indicate that 248 Iranians have been killed and 1,277 injured so far. Among the casualties are around a dozen senior Iranian military commanders. On the Israeli side, 24 people have been killed and over 600 injured.

The protestors expressed deep concern over the mounting human toll and urged international efforts to restore peace in the region.
