Doti, April 26
A pregnant woman from Jorayal rural municipality-1 of the Doti district died after falling from a cliff.
Police said that 21-year-old Anita Malla died after falling from a cliff while collecting grass for cattle in the forest.
She had gone to the forest, about 2 km away from her house, to get grass for cattle on Tuesday morning.
Her father-in-law Prem Bahadur Malla informed Anita was found dead near a ridge about 400 meters below where she had gone to cut grass. They went looking for Anita after she did not return for lunch.
Durgadatta Ojha, the chair of Jorayal rural municipality, informed that the body was removed from the ridge with the help of police, people’s representatives and local residents.
Her body has been sent for postmortem.
