Pernod Ricard contributes Rs 5 million to Prime Minister’s Relief Fund

Pernod Ricard has announced a contribution of Rs 5 million to the Prime Minister’s Relief Fund to support relief and recovery efforts for communities affected by recent natural disasters in Nepal.

The company said the contribution would be used to assist families affected by the disasters.

Pernod Ricard expressed sympathy to those affected and said its thoughts were with the affected communities as well as those involved in relief and recovery efforts.

Saurav Bhattarai, Business Development Manager-Nepal at Pernod Ricard, said the company hoped its contribution would provide support to relief efforts and people facing difficulties.

“Our hearts go out to everyone affected by these devastating events. We stand in solidarity with the people of Nepal and hope this contribution can provide some support to relief efforts and to those facing the greatest hardship,” Bhattarai said.

He also expressed gratitude to government authorities, security forces, emergency responders, volunteers and local communities involved in rescue, relief and recovery operations.

Pernod Ricard said it has maintained a presence in Nepal through its local partner SPG Trading and remains committed to supporting communities where it operates.

The company said it would continue to contribute where possible during extraordinary circumstances affecting communities in Nepal.
