Only 83 students will attend TU convocation next week

Kathmandu, December 13

Tribhuvan University, the biggest academic institution of the country, says it is letting only 83 students in the convocation ceremony this year.

Due to the Covid-19 fears, only those obtaining PhD and MPhil degrees and medalists of other grades will be allowed to participate this year, according to the university’s examination controller Pushpa Raj Joshi.

However, the university has already collected the fees for the event from 7,087 students. Joshi assures they will be refunded.

Former President Ram Baran Yadav will grace the event as the chief guest. The vent will be held at the TU Office of the Examination Controller on December 21.
