Kathmandu, February 9
Police Assistant Constable Hemraj LG died after falling from the police van while returning from duty.
According to the District Police Range, Kathmandu, LG died after falling from the police vehicle number Baa 1 Jha 7418 while returning from duty at 11:15 pm.
According to the police, the preliminary examination showed that the death occurred when his head hit the road after he fell on his back as he got out of the vehicle to go to his room near Satungal.
“He died after falling from the vehicle while on duty,” said Kathmandu Valley Police Office’s Chief AIG Deepak Thapa.
The police have sent LG’s body to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital, Maharajganj for post-mortem. Meanwhile, the assistant constable Ram Prasad Yadav, the driver of the van, has been detained. Police said further investigation is underway.
