NIST Higher Education held its 2082 BS convocation ceremony at Yala Durbar, Sankhamul, where 75 students received undergraduate and postgraduate degrees in fields such as BCA, BBM, BBS, MBS, B.Tech. (Food), and Microbiology.

According to a press statement released by NIST, chief guest Prof. Dr. Tirtha Khaniya, former Vice-Chancellor of Tribhuvan University, encouraged graduates to go beyond the degree and use their knowledge to drive social change. He urged them to focus on research and innovation. Former Nepal Rastra Bank Governor Chiranjivi Nepal emphasised the role of youth in national development. “Don’t just seek jobs—become leaders who create opportunities,” he said, promoting entrepreneurship and innovation.

Campus Chief Dr Madhav Prasad Baral advised students to contribute to Nepal’s progress rather than going abroad, highlighting untapped opportunities at home. He was also honored with a ceremonial shawl and appreciation certificate for his leadership.

The program ended on celebratory note with cultural performances, emotional farewells, and photo sessions among graduates, faculty, and families.
