Kathmandu, May 16

Shreya Giri from Kathmandu has been selected from Asia in Forbes magazine’s list of 30 under 30 people.

In the list published by Forbes magazine on Thursday, she is included in the list of influential young people in Asia of 2024 in the category of ‘Social Impact’.

Giri, 28, is the founder of Happy Minds, a digital platform for mental health. The Covid-19 pandemic started while she was studying for her master’s degree in London. During this time, she suffered from mental health problems.

But during Covid-19, there was no facility to get mental counselling online. After returning to Nepal and completing her studies, she started Happy Minds to work against the negative attitudes and trust challenges created by mental health problems. It has been running various workshops in groups as well as providing physical and virtual mental counselling.

It is a platform to provide mental health counselling online as well as physical presence. The organisation provides services to Nepalis in any part of the world.
