Kathmandu, December 28

The Nepali Congress has staged a mass demonstration across the country, including in Kathmandu, against the government’s decision to dissolve the House of Representatives, on Monday.

Major political parties except the Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli-led faction of the Nepal Communist Party have been protesting the move for the past week. In this course, the main opposition party of the dissolve Parliament had earlier decided to demonstrate in each of the 165 constituencies across the country.

The party has mobilised its central leaders to lead demonstrations in different parts. The party’s president Sher Bahadur Deuba led a rally in Thimi of Bhaktapur and addressed his cadres.
