Kathmandu, September 27
Nepal is set to compete against Bahrain today in the Group B match of the AFC U-20 Asian Cup Qualifiers, currently underway in Chinese Taipei.
The match between Nepal and Bahrain will kick off at 12:45 pm Nepali time at Fu Jen Catholic University Stadium in New Taipei City.
In Group B, Nepal has played three matches so far, winning one and losing two. Nepal currently sits in fourth place in the five-team group with 3 points from 3 matches.
Nepal’s chances of qualifying for the AFC U-20 Asian Cup to be held in China next year have ended, as only the top team from the group advances.
Uzbekistan leads the group with 6 points from two matches, while Cambodia is in second place with 6 points from three matches, having won two and lost one. Bahrain stands in third place with 3 points from one win and one loss in two matches, ahead of Nepal.
