Kathmandu, January 12
The Ministry of Health and Population has informed that the country’s Covid-19 tally has reached 265,698 as of Tuesday afternoon.
The ministry says 430 new cases were confirmed in the country in the past 24 hours.
In this period, 5,300 swab samples were tested. So far, 1 million and 992,855 people have been tested in the country. 259 positive cases were reported in the Valley.
As of today, 4,408 cases are active.
Of the total cases so far, 259,358 people have achieved recovery whereas 1,932 died, according to the ministry. In the past 24 hours, 390 people have been discharged whereas five deaths have been reported.
Over 200 people are quarantined across the country.
