World-famous content creator Jimmy Donaldson, known as MrBeast, has launched a fundraising campaign for those affected by the Bhotekoshi flood in Nepal.
The American YouTuber, entrepreneur and philanthropist said via an Instagram story that he and his team are raising millions of dollars in relief funds for Nepal’s disaster victims, and called on people around the world to join the effort.
He said flood survivors urgently need support. The campaign aims to raise millions of dollars, so that anyone anywhere in the world can take part, and that the money raised will go directly to those affected.
He also said he has been working to bring attention to the plight of Nepal’s flood victims. MrBeast noted that he had originally planned to film a video in Nepal a few weeks ago, but that plan was put on hold because of the Bhotekoshi flood.
After postponing the filming plans, he turned his attention to the relief campaign instead. His philanthropic organisation, Beast Philanthropy, is taking part through its “Care Package” social initiative.
According to the link he shared, the campaign will provide essential relief supplies for those affected, including temporary shelter, solar power, cooking gas and equipment, drinking water, soap, and menstrual hygiene products. He also shared a donation link for those wishing to contribute financially.
Donaldson’s YouTube channel, MrBeast, is the most-subscribed channel in the world, with more than 517 million subscribers.
