Kathmandu, September 30
One person has been arrested on charges of fraud for claiming he could send people to Japan for foreign employment.
The arrested person is 26-year-old Deep Bahadur Tamang, a resident of Likhu Tamakoshi Rural Municipality-1, Ramechhap. He was arrested by a team from the Kathmandu Valley Crime Investigation Office. Police said he ran Neem Education Consultancy.
He is found to have defrauded 15 people of Rs 1.01 crore by claiming he would send them to Japan. He is also implicated in six banking offence cases involving fraud of Rs 3,465,000. He has been sent to the Department of Foreign Employment’s office in Tahachal.
