India’s former Test wicketkeeper-batter KS Bharat will play for Kathmandu Gorkhas in the upcoming third season of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).
Gorkhas announced the signing on social media.
The 32-year-old Bharat announced his retirement from international cricket a few months ago. He has represented India in Test cricket.
In T20 cricket, Bharat has scored over 1,800 runs across 91 matches. His arrival adds experience to the Kathmandu Gorkhas squad, with his ability to contribute both as a wicketkeeper and a useful middle-order batter.
Bharat was also part of the Kolkata Knight Riders squad that won the IPL title in 2024. He brings extensive experience from Indian domestic cricket and the IPL.
Bharat is the first foreign player Kathmandu Gorkhas has announced for the upcoming edition of the NPL, strengthening the team’s wicketkeeping and batting options.
