Kathmandu valley sees 266 road accidents resulting in 7 deaths in 20 days

Kathmandu, November 17

From October 28 to November 16, 266 road accidents occurred in the Kathmandu valley, resulting in seven fatalities and 330 injuries.

According to the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, 74 vehicles were in accidents on their own, while 192 accidents were caused by collisions with other vehicles. In Kathmandu, 39 accidents involved single vehicles, whereas 94 were the result of collisions with other vehicles.

In Lalitpur, 19 accidents occurred independently, and 30 accidents resulted from collisions with other vehicles. In Bhaktapur, 16 accidents happened independently, while 68 accidents were due to collisions with other vehicles.

SSP Dinesh Raj Mainali, spokesperson of the Kathmandu Valley Police Office, has revealed that 108 individuals were arrested in connection with all these incidents. The police have stated that investigations are ongoing for some of these cases.
