After surpassing Rs 200,000 per tola, the price of gold has been setting new records almost every day.
In recent days, the value of gold has steadily increased, leading to back-to-back record highs. On Friday, gold reached Rs 200,600 per tola, and by Sunday it had climbed by another Rs 3,000 to Rs 203,600. Both days marked historic highs.
Today, Monday, gold rose again by Rs 2,000, setting yet another record. According to the Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association, trading today took place at Rs 205,300 per tola.
The price of silver has also set a new record. Silver, which was traded at Rs 2,425 per tola the previous day, rose to Rs 2,470 today. The Federation’s first vice president, Dharmasundar Bajracharya, said the rise in the international market has directly impacted the Nepali market.
