Gold price rises by Rs 3,100 per tola

Kathmandu, January 6

The price of gold increased by Rs 3,100 per tola on Tuesday. The Federation of Nepal Gold and Silver Dealers’ Association has fixed the price of gold at Rs 268,100 per tola for the day.

Gold had traded at Rs 265,000 per tola the previous day. Earlier, on Poush 13, gold had reached a record high of Rs 270,600 per tola, the highest level so far. After declining from that peak, gold prices have risen again following the US attack on Venezuela.

Rising demand and prices in the international market have continued to impact the Nepali market. A day earlier, the price of gold in Nepal had increased by Rs 4,600 per tola.

Silver prices have also increased. Silver rose by Rs 195 per tola to reach Rs 4,880 today, compared to Rs 4,685 per tola in the previous trading session.
