TBC launches ‘Go Daan,’ first student-led startup from its incubation centre

Kathmandu, November 24

The British College (TBC) launched Go Daan, the first student-led startup to emerge from the TBC Incubation Centre. The event marks TBC’s commitment to foster entrepreneurship, innovation, and student-driven impact.

Go Daan is a digital fundraising platform designed to make giving simple, safe, and transparent for individuals and communities across Nepal. Abhushan Shrestha, a Level 4 student of BSc (Hons) Computer Science – Artificial Intelligence, founded the startup.

During his speech, Shrestha said, “Go Daan began with a simple mission to make it easier for people to get help when they need it most. With the guidance and resources from the TBC Incubation Centre, we have taken our first steps towards building a platform that empowers communities.”

Declan P Bannon, Academic Dean at the TBC, congratulated the team, saying, “Congratulations to Team Goदान and to Ganesh Paudyal for bringing this startup to life. This launch exemplifies what our incubation ecosystem aims to achieve.”

Highlighting TBC’s role in nurturing young entrepreneurs, Group CEO and Founder, Rajen Kandel, shared his own story of starting young.

“At the age of 22, I started my first business by borrowing money from a credit card. It takes courage to begin, and that courage deserves a platform. Through the TBC Incubation Centre, The British College is here to support you, guide you, and help define what it means to be more than a college.”
