“But the love, support and success that Gaunthali has received today have deeply moved me,” he added.

He said ‘Gaunthali’ was not merely a film but a beautiful journey connected with emotions, dreams and love for Nepali cinema.

He described the achievement not just as a personal success but as a victory for the entire Gaunthali team.

Starring Arun Chhetri and Simran Khadka in lead roles, Gaunthali is still running in theatres. The film has completed 100 days of screening and grossed more than Rs 260 million.

It has become the second-highest-grossing film in the history of the Nepali film industry.
