Kathmandu, January 23
Rohto Mentholatum Nepal, a subsidiary company of Rohto Pharmaceutical Co Ltd based in Osaka of Japan, organised a free cataract surgery for underprivileged people in Itahari of Sundari on Saturday, January 22.
Dr Ben Limbu, a consultant cataract and oculoplastic surgeon at Itahari-based Global Eye Hospital, led the operation of 20 patients and restored vision on the patients.
The company says it feels honoured to have restored light in the lives of 20 affected patients.
“With an initiative like this, Rohto’s new challenge is to “support society, and maintain global health for the future” which has just begun and will continue serving people, society and the environment,” the company says.
