48 flood victims brought to Teaching Hospital, 21 discharged

Six patients are in the ICU and one is on a ventilator following the devastating Bhotekoshi flood.

The number of people brought to Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital in Maharajgunj for treatment after being rescued from the devastating Bhotekoshi floods has reached 48.

According to the hospital’s latest update, as of 4 pm Friday, 27 of the 48 flood-affected people were still receiving treatment.

Twenty-one patients have been discharged, while one person has died.

Of those currently undergoing treatment, six are in the intensive care unit (ICU) and one is on a ventilator, the hospital said.

The injured patients currently at the hospital range in age from five to 50.
