
Kathmandu, July 28
Eight major highways across the country have been completely blocked due to incessant rainfall taking place since Saturday night.
The Koshi highway has been blocked in Sankhuwasabha, while the Pasang Lhamu highway in Rasuwa, the Araniko highway in Sindhupalchowk, the Mid-hill highway in Nuwakot, the Jajarkot-Dolpa-Bheri corridor in Rukum West, the Mid-hill highway in Jajarkot, and the Karnali corridor in Humla.
Even a makeshift bridge connecting Nepal-China border in Rasuwa is blocked, according to the Nepal Police Headquarters. However, the road sections blocked earlier have been opened for one-way traffic, shared police.
