The price of eggs, which had been raised five days ago, has been increased again, effective from Friday.
The Nepal Egg Producers Association decided to raise the prices starting this Friday. The decision was made during the association’s physical and virtual meeting on Thursday, setting the base price for eggs based on Chitwan.
The new prices per crate (30 eggs) are medium eggs at Rs 435, large eggs at Rs 510, and extra-large eggs at Rs 525.
Previously, on August 24, the price of extra-large eggs was increased by Rs 5 per crate, and large and medium eggs by Rs 10 per crate, setting the price of extra-large eggs at Rs 505 per crate. At that time, the price of large eggs was set at Rs 495, and medium eggs at Rs 425.
