Kathmandu, August 21
MAW Vridhi AutoCorp is preparing to launch the all-new Deepal Nevo Q05 in Nepal next week. Established as the number-one SUV in its segment in China, the company claims the Q05 will offer Nepali buyers a “class above” experience through a combination of comfort, design, and technology.
The Q05 pairs a city-friendly exterior with a spacious, practical cabin. Its 2,735mm wheelbase gives generous rear legroom, while reclining rear seats add comfort and the 540-litre boot offers ample space for luggage and family travel gear.
Design is another highlight. The SUV was developed under Changan’s global design network, spanning 915 design professionals across 31 countries, led by Changan’s global design VP and former Volkswagen Group design chief Klaus Zyciora. It features a clean, aerodynamic profile, distinctive light signature, and commanding road presence, and has already won international recognition through the Golden A’ Design Award.
The electric SUV runs on a 51.9 kWh CATL lithium-iron-phosphate (LFP) battery integrated with Changan’s Golden Shield 2.0 battery system, supporting 3C fast charging and up to 162 kW DC charging capacity.
The Q05 arrives in Nepal on the back of strong international sales, having crossed 100,000 cumulative units sold as of August 11, 2026, and having held the top spot in China’s compact SUV market for four consecutive months. With its spacious cabin, internationally recognised design, and advanced EV tech, the company expects the Deepal Nivo Q05 to set a new benchmark in Nepal’s compact electric SUV market.
