One person died in a tractor accident in the Dang district of Lumbini on Wednesday.
The victim has been identified as Sudan Chaudhary (22), a resident of Uttar Amrai, Ghorahi sub-metropolitan city-10 of the district.
Chaudhary was on the tractor (Ra 1 Ta 3370) that was being pulled by another tractor (Ra 1 Ta 4611) with a rope as it was in need of repair, according to police.
After the wire joining the two tractors snapped, the dysfunctional tractor had fallen off the road, crushing Chaudhary there, according to Mukunda Prasad Rijal, the district police office spokesperson.
Seriously injured in the accident, he died during treatment at the Rapti Institute of Health Sciences.
