Nepal’s Arika Gurung has lost her semifinal match in women’s karate kumite at the 20th Asian Games, currently underway in Japan.
In the over-68kg kumite semifinal, Gurung lost 2–1 to Sofia Beruztseva of Kazakhstan.
Arika had won a historic silver medal for Nepal at the previous edition of the Asian Games.
