Aloft by Marriott Kathmandu has been named Nepal’s Leading Hotel 2026 at the World Travel Awards.
The award was announced during the World Travel Awards Asia, Oceania & Indian Ocean Gala Ceremony held on September 27 at CROSSROADS Maldives.
The recognition highlights the hotel’s focus on contemporary design and guest experiences, as well as its contribution to Kathmandu’s tourism sector.
Operating since 2019, the 167-room lifestyle hotel combines contemporary spaces with elements of Nepali art, music and cuisine.
“Being named Nepal’s Leading Hotel 2026 by the World Travel Awards is a proud moment for our entire team,” said Vikram Singh, general manager of Aloft by Marriott Kathmandu Thamel.
Commenting on the current tourism environment, Singh said that despite the impact of recent floods in parts of the country, tourism services in much of Nepal continue to operate normally.
“We hope this recognition further highlights the resilience of Nepal’s tourism industry and the many destinations that continue to welcome visitors,” he said.
Established in 1993, the World Travel Awards recognises achievements across the global tourism and hospitality sectors.
