The Acrow bridge built over the Falaku Khola at Betrawati, on the Nuwakot-Rasuwa border, has come into operation.
The 73.2-metre-long, 5.5-metre-wide Acrow bridge, which can bear a load of 40 tonnes, is expected to make travel easier for people in the Nuwakot and Rasuwa areas.
It is also expected to ease the transport of necessary relief and essential supplies to flood-affected areas.
The bridge, built by the Nepali Army, was handed over to the road project at a programme. The Army handed it over to the Galchhi-Rasuwagadhi Road Project.
The Army had begun construction on Asoj 20, after building an access road by breaking hard rock along about 300 metres of road.
