A 6-day short film screenwriting workshop ‘Know Pages, Know Screen’ kicks off

Kathmandu, December 4

‘Know Pages, Know Screen’, a short film screenwriting workshop began on Monday at the Department of Languages and Mass Communication, Kathmandu University, Hattiban.

Global Media Makers by Film Independent, USA in association with LSM production and the Department of Languages and Mass Communication Kathmandu University School of Arts have organised the six-day long workshop.

According to a press statement released by Kathmandu University, the participants of the workshop will get a directorial perspective on their script, more on how to get the short film produced, and ways to turn their pages onto the screen.

Similarly, the creative minds from the Nepali film fraternity will provide detailed feedback on participants’ scripts and help them navigate towards the final draft.

The participants were selected after a competition and only 10 were selected for the workshop. Gopal Thapa, Bigyan Sapkota, Mira Khadka, Sandesh Siwakoti, Priya BK, Annie Pakhrin, Madhur Thapa, Sarita Sah, Bibidh Chalise and Deepali Shrestha are the selected participants for the workshop.

They will be mentored by personalities like Abinash Bikram Shah, Anup Poudel, Keshab Pandey, Khagendra Lamichhane, Sampada Malla, Sarad Mahato, Sandeep Shrestha and Sunil Pandey.
