Outgoing Inspector General of Police Dan Bahadur Karki has gone to the Supreme Court with a writ petition, saying he was removed from his post.
Lawyers carrying his petition reached the Supreme Court a short while ago.
The government removed him as Inspector General of Police only yesterday and appointed him as the Prime Minister’s security adviser.
Karki has approached the court, saying he has been treated unjustly. Whether the petition will be registered will be decided only after the administrative process is completed.
