Land and housing entrepreneurs in Chitwan have urged the government to remove obstacles to land subdivision and bring clarity to the land-use policy.
A delegation led by Baburam Adhikari, president of the Narayani Land and Housing Entrepreneurs Association, met Minister for Land Management, Cooperatives, Federal Affairs and General Administration Pratibha Rawal in Sauraha and urged her to address problems related to land transactions.

During her visit, land and housing entrepreneurs met her and called for an end to policy uncertainty surrounding land subdivision, clarity in the land-use policy, and a review of provisions related to capital gains tax and government revenue.
Association President Adhikari said the real estate sector needed to be organised and revitalised, as property transactions generate revenue for the government.
In response, Minister Rawal said the government was serious about clarifying the land-use policy and resolving problems in land transactions. The entrepreneurs said she had assured them that the necessary steps would be taken soon to facilitate the lifting of restrictions on land subdivision.
