Vehicular movement will be completely closed from tonight on the Galaundi section of the Prithvi Highway in Gajuri, Dhading, which sank due to erosion by the Trishuli River, as further repairs are needed.
According to the District Administration Office, Dhading, vehicles have been barred from the section to allow further repair and maintenance.
According to Chief District Officer Laxmi Pandey (Gautam), the movement of all vehicles along the road will be completely closed from 11 pm tonight until 5 am tomorrow.
Earlier, after the road sank at Galaundi in Gajuri Rural Municipality-5, it was given basic repairs and two-way traffic was restored.
However, the administration said further repair work is still needed on the section, and that the closure has been scheduled at night to reduce the impact on travellers.
