Services at the Department of Passports in Tripureshwor have been affected after its server went down.
Department officials said the disruption was caused by an internet outage.
Speaking to Onlinekhabar, a senior department official said, “There is a problem with the internet. Employees from Subisu have arrived to fix it.”
According to the official, the internet disruption has affected services including biometric processing. Other services that can be carried out offline, however, are continuing as usual, the official said.
The Department of Passports had not issued an official statement regarding the disruption at the time of publication.
