Dhankuta, September 30
Nepal Students’ Union (NSU) president Karuna Katuwal has been elected as a general convention representative from her home district, Dhankuta.
Katuwal received the highest number of votes, 690, in the youth-open category, where each voter could vote for up to two candidates.
Gobinda Limbu, who placed second, has also been elected as a convention representative, with 305 votes. Katuwal received 385 more votes than Limbu.
In the youth-open category, Kranti Raj Paudel received 243 votes, Chiranjibi Kongren 184, and Abhinav Guragain 139.
Katuwal received the highest number of youth-open votes in her home district, with around 70 percent of the participating representatives voting for her.
