Kathmandu, September 30
A jeep accident in Sindhuli has left eight people injured.
The injured are all from Bethanchok Rural Municipality-1, Kavrepalanchok: 28-year-old Rombahadur Yonjan, 21-year-old Mina Maya Tamang, 56-year-old Durga Bahadur Yonjan, 43-year-old Dhan Bahadur Yonjan, 45-year-old Prem Yonjan, 30-year-old Dinesh Yonjan, 20-year-old Anil Yonjan and 52-year-old Tek Bahadur Thing.
The jeep, numbered Ba.Pra. 01-031 Cha 9749, went out of control and fell about 20 meters off the BP Highway at Ganeshthan, Sunkoshi Rural Municipality-3, Sindhuli. Police said the jeep was travelling from Kavrepalanchok toward Ramechhap when the accident happened around 8:30 am on Wednesday.
All eight injured were rescued and sent to Dhulikhel Hospital for treatment. The driver, 26-year-old Narayan Basnet of Bethanchok Rural Municipality-3, Kavrepalanchok, is unhurt. Police are investigating further.
