Kathmandu, September 29
MBA students at Islington College will hold ‘Auction for a Cause’, a charity art auction to support families rebuilding after the recent floods, on Friday (October 2) at Kumari Hall, Islington College.
Original artworks created by students will be auctioned between 5:30 PM and 8:00 PM. The auction is free to attend and open to the public, with parking available on-site.
The auction is designed to give young artists direct income while also contributing to flood recovery. From each sale, 70% goes to the student artist, and 30% goes to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund.
The event was conceived and is being run by Master’s level students of the MBA Pulse Community at Islington College. Organisers say the amount raised will depend on how many buyers take part, and they are encouraging art lovers, collectors, professionals and members of the public to attend and bid.
