Experienced Pakistani all-rounder Iftikhar Ahmed has signed with Janakpur Bolts for the third edition of the Nepal Premier League (NPL).
Janakpur announced the signing of the 36-year-old Iftikhar as a foreign player through social media. The right-handed batter is an all-rounder who also bowls off-spin.
Iftikhar has scored 998 runs in 66 T20 Internationals for Pakistan. In T20 cricket overall, he has scored 6,196 runs and taken 97 wickets across 329 matches.
He has also played in major franchise tournaments including the Pakistan Super League (PSL), Lanka Premier League (LPL), Bangladesh Premier League (BPL), and Caribbean Premier League (CPL).
Among Nepali fans, Iftikhar is particularly well known for the century he struck against Nepal in the 2023 Asia Cup, an innings that helped guide Pakistan to a massive total in that match.
