Humla, September 20
The Karnali Corridor has been obstructed by a major landslide at Chharebhir in Sarkegad Rural Municipality-2.
The landslide has blocked around 100 metres of the road, halting vehicular movement and stranding numerous passengers. More than 27 people from Adanchuli Municipality, who were travelling to Simkot to attend a health camp, have been affected by the road obstruction.
The passengers are currently staying in nearby fields in Sarkegad and are concerned about reaching their destination on time.
Chief District Officer Bholanath Guragain said efforts were underway to clear the road. However, the presence of large boulders has made the clearance operation difficult, as conventional equipment cannot be used to remove them.
Consultations have been held with local authorities and security agencies to begin road-clearing operations on Sunday morning.
The corridor has faced repeated disruptions due to natural disasters, affecting the transportation of essential goods and services to Humla.
