The Birgunj Customs Office collected Rs 23.46 billion in revenue during the month of Bhadra (August 17 to September 16) of the current fiscal year 2083/84 BS.
According to the customs office, it collected Rs 23.46 billion and Rs 1.5 million in revenue during the period, meeting 99.75 per cent of its monthly revenue target.
Purna Prasad Lamsal, spokesperson for the Customs Office, said 14.52 per cent of the annual revenue target for the current fiscal year had been achieved as of mid-September.
According to the customs office, biscuits, pulses, textiles and garments, industrial raw materials, and food grains are among the major imported commodities in terms of value and revenue contribution.
