Nepal’s Min Bahadur Tamang has advanced to the semifinals in karate at the 20th Asian Games, currently underway in Japan.
Competing in the men’s under-68kg kumite quarterfinal at Toyohashi Gymnasium in Japan, Min Bahadur defeated Mirzojoda Mohammad of Tajikistan 2–0 to book his place in the semifinals.
He had earlier reached the quarterfinals by defeating Chau Ka Him of Hong Kong 4–1. He will now face Shaban Abdullah of Kuwait for a place in the final.
