Kathmandu, September 17
MetLife Nepal Vice President and General Manager Nirmal Kajee Shrestha has received the Asian Professional Achievement Award in the Outstanding Leadership in Life Insurance & Financial Services category.
The award, organised by Season Media, recognises professionals across Asia for leadership, innovation, industry contribution and professional achievement. This year’s recipients included professionals from China, Malaysia, Bangladesh, India, Japan and Nepal.
Shrestha became the first Nepali citizen to lead MetLife Nepal in 2017. According to MetLife Nepal, he has led initiatives focused on developing local leadership talent, improving customer experience and promoting continuous growth and innovation.
Under his leadership, the company has focused on customer-centric solutions, digital innovation, operational excellence and workforce development, while also working to strengthen professional standards in Nepal’s insurance industry.
Speaking on the recognition, Shrestha said he was honoured to receive the award and dedicated it to the company’s employees, agents, partners and stakeholders working to help customers build financial security and confidence.
MetLife Nepal said the recognition reflects its commitment to developing local talent, strengthening the insurance profession and providing protection and financial security solutions to customers.
MetLife has operated in Nepal since 2001 and provides life insurance, accident and health insurance, and group insurance services.
