Kathmandu, September 17
Four pistols and six rounds of ammunition have been recovered from an abandoned Indian-registered car in Birgunj, Parsa.
The Armed Police Force (APF) recovered the weapons and ammunition from the car bearing Indian registration number UP 16 AJ 3301, which was found abandoned at Bastubihar Chowk in Birgunj Metropolitan City-15 on Wednesday.
Acting on specific information received from the Intelligence Bureau of the Armed Police Force, Nepal, a team deployed from the APF No. 13 Battalion Headquarters, Parsa, conducted a search of the vehicle.
The team recovered two locally made pistols, two sixer pistols and six rounds of 7.62mm ammunition used in the pistols.
The APF said the recovered weapons, ammunition and the abandoned vehicle have been handed over to the District Police Office, Parsa, for further investigation.
