Nepal names 15-member cricket squad for Asian Games

Kathmandu, September 13

Nepal has announced its 15-member cricket squad for the upcoming Asian Games, which will be held in Japan from September 19.

The Nepal Olympic Committee (NOC) announced the final squad on Sunday, with all-rounder Dipendra Singh Airee named captain.

The squad includes Dipendra Singh Airee, Rohit Kumar Paudel, Sompal Kami, Karan KC, Sandeep Lamichhane, Aarif Sheikh, Aasif Sheikh, Kushal Bhurtel, Lalit Rajbanshi, Gulshan Jha, Nandan Yadav, Lokesh Bam, Sandeep Jora, Sher Malla and Kushal Malla.

Nepal will face Afghanistan and hosts Japan in the cricket competition at the Asian Games.

Former national cricketer Binod Das has been named the team leader. Lokendra Kunwar will serve as the medical personnel, while Stuart Law has been appointed head coach.

Abdur Sattar will serve as coach, while Raman Shiwakoti has been named technical personnel.
