Gorkha, September 13
Four people were injured when an auto-rickshaw met with an accident on an inner road section at Chhapthok in Palungtar Municipality-4, Gorkha, on Sunday morning.
According to police, the auto-rickshaw (Ga 3-001 Ha 0210), travelling from Baddanda towards Thatipokhari, fell about 10 metres off the road at around 9:30 am and crashed.
The injured have been identified as 48-year-old Parmila GC, 45-year-old Gita Shrestha and 20-year-old Pragati Shrestha, all from Palungtar Municipality-4, and 31-year-old Menuka Giri of Palungtar-5, police said.
DSP Rajkumar Shrestha said all four injured people were in moderate condition.
They were given preliminary treatment at a local medical facility before being referred to Ampipal Hospital in Harni for further treatment, police said.
Police have taken the auto-rickshaw driver, 33-year-old Suresh Shrestha of Palungtar-4, into custody.
Further investigation into the incident is underway, police said.
