Gas entrepreneurs have sent a third batch of 75 Sagarmatha-brand LPG cylinders to Rasuwa as relief for victims of the Bhotekoshi flood.
According to Diwan Chand, president of the Nepal LPG Gas Industry Association, the cylinders were dispatched from the Nepal Oil Corporation premises in Babermahal on Saturday afternoon under the responsibility of the District Administration Office, Rasuwa.
The association had previously decided to provide a total of 1,250 gas cylinders to flood-affected communities. Of this amount, 232 Nepal Gas cylinders have already been delivered to the affected areas in two batches, Chand said.
He said the association had initially planned to send a large quantity of gas at once, but transportation difficulties caused by the closure of the Prithvi Highway forced them to send smaller quantities in several batches.
Similarly, another organisation of gas entrepreneurs, the LPG Gas Industry Association Nepal, has already provided 150 gas cylinders to flood victims in two batches—100 in the first and 50 in the second.
