Gorkha, September 6
A flood in the Namrung stream of Chumnubri Rural Municipality-4 in Gorkha swept away four houses and an iron bridge early Sunday morning.
According to Gorkha Deputy Superintendent of Police Raj Kumar Shrestha, the flood occurred at around 3am and swept away the houses of Nurbu Ongyal, Urgen Chhyoden, Lakpa Bhuti and Dorje Gyalzen in Namrung.
The flood also swept away an iron bridge connecting wards 4 and 2 of the rural municipality, police said.
No human casualties have been reported so far.
