Kathmandu, September 1
Prof Anjana Singh has been appointed Rector and Prof.Rabindra Shiwakoti Registrar of Tribhuvan University.
University Chancellor and Prime Minister Balendra Shah made the appointments based on the recommendation of the Vice-Chancellor.
According to a source at the Ministry of Education, Singh and Shiwakoti are scheduled to take their oath of office at 3 pm on Tuesday.
Shiwakoti is a professor at Tribhuvan University’s Faculty of Education, while Singh is a professor at the Faculty of Science.
The government had removed TU office-bearers through an ordinance in April. Although a Vice-Chancellor was appointed in June, the positions of Rector and Registrar had remained vacant.
