Kathmandu, August 28
A total of 1,545 people caught in the devastating Bhotekoshi River flood in Rasuwa on Wednesday have been rescued, according to Nepal Police.
As of 7am Friday, 644 people had been rescued from Rasuwa, 898 from Nuwakot and three from Dhading, police said.
Meanwhile, 84 people injured in the disaster are receiving treatment or have been discharged from hospitals in Kathmandu.
Police said 4,348 personnel have been mobilised for rescue, relief and assistance operations in the flood-affected areas.
So far, 469 people affected by the flood have been found, according to police.
However, 28 police officers remain out of contact following the disaster.
Rescue and search operations are continuing in the affected areas.
